Job Description

Step into a pivotal role providing comprehensive speech-language services within an engaging school environment. This full-time contract assignment spans the academic year, commencing July 27, 2026 and concluding June 4, 2027. You will play a critical part in empowering students to achieve their communication goals and access their academic potential.

Your specialized expertise will support a diverse caseload, with a blend of hands-on therapy, assessment, and collaboration with educators and families. Strong planning and oversight skills are essential, as you contribute to IEP development and ensure high standards across therapy programs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
  • Valid G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction
  • License from the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists may be considered
  • Experience in a school-based setting is highly desired
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Accurately diagnose communication disorders and advise educational teams and caregivers
  • Maintain detailed documentation for compliance and progress tracking
  • Collaborate actively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Provide planning, oversight, and consultation for students communication needs
