A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide expert services within school settings in Wetumpka, Alabama. This role involves working closely with students to assess, diagnose, and treat various speech, language, and communication disorders, supporting their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with educational guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Travel to multiple school sites within the region to provide consistent services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state licensure or certification as an SLP.
- Experience working in school environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel as part of the role.
