Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract assignment supporting students communication and educational growth. This onsite opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week. Youll primarily serve elementary and middle school students, collaborating with a supportive team to deliver impactful interventions and empower young learners. With a caseload of around 60, your expertise will make a meaningful difference in students daily success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from ASHA in Alabama
  • Active professional educator license for Alabama
  • Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs); CCCs welcome and must be comfortable with supervision duties
  • Experience with elementary and/or middle school populations preferred
  • Willingness to work at one or occasionally two school locations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and language disorders in school-aged children
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and progress reports for students
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support classroom integration and student achievement
  • Supervise and mentor as needed, if holding a CCC credential
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented team culture
