This unique contract position places you within a supportive, specialized Compass High Program environment, working with students to foster essential skills for greater independence beyond the traditional classroom. The assignment is conveniently located in Ludlow, MA, and provides a rewarding opportunity to contribute real impact over the summer session, with consideration for the full 2026-2027 school year based on program fit.
Ideal candidates should bring enthusiasm for adaptive education, experience in AAC service delivery, and a commitment to meeting all state credential requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license and CCC, meeting all state qualification requirements
- Previous school-based experience, especially within high school settings
- Background or interest in working with students with ASD or learning differences
- Proficiency with AAC devices for therapy and service delivery (AAC evaluations not required)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Availability for 15-20 hours per week across 2-3 days
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-impact speech and language therapy to high school students within a specialized program
- Collaborate closely with Compass High Program staff to provide a consistent, supportive learning environment
- Utilize AAC systems and adaptive strategies in sessions
- Track student progress and document intervention outcomes as required
- Support students in building skills critical for independence and life beyond school
