Job Description

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Speech Language Pathologist license required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged populations, K-12
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other support staff
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy, both one-on-one and in group settings, for students across grade levels
  • Conduct assessments and re-evaluations to identify students needs and track progress
  • Provide consultative services and recommendations to teachers, administrators, and families
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to intervention planning, and support students IEP goals
  • Stay current with best practices and professional development in school-based speech-language pathology
