Job Description
Provide specialized speech-language support within a unique educational setting designed for high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract position, based in Ludlow, MA, offers an opportunity to contribute to a personalized, supportive program aimed at fostering independence and skill development beyond traditional classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to high school students enrolled in the Compass High Program.
- Supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to enhance student outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with state requirements.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support holistic student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and program standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials preferred.
- Experience working within school settings, especially with high school-aged students.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students with ASD and other learning differences.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and supervision.
- Familiarity with state regulations and educational protocols for speech-language services.
Location and Schedule:
- Assignment located in Ludlow, MA (while the clients main office is in West Springfield).
- Contract duration from August 27, 2026, through June 22, 2027 (dates subject to the 2026/2027 school year calendar).
- Approximately 32.5 hours per week.
