This assignment offers the chance to work with high school students in the Compass High Programa specialized setting designed for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold current state licensure and credentials as required for SLPs.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
  • Prior school-based experience with high school-aged students.
  • Comfortable providing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services (evaluation experience not required).
  • Demonstrated track record of fostering communication skill development in students with ASD or diverse learning needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver focused speech-language services to high school students, supporting communication goals in a specialized educational setting.
  • Provide AAC services and strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and other specialists to support student progress toward independence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and program requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff to support holistic student growth.
