Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current licensure to practice as an SLP in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Experience delivering speech and language services in a pediatric or school-based setting
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students speech, language, and communication skills to identify developmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized service plans (IEPs) based on each childs unique strengths and challenges
- Provide direct therapy and intervention for students with communication disorders, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize students success in the educational setting
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and provide updates at IEP meetings
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in pediatric speech-language pathology
