Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Illinois
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged children, preferably within an educational setting
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to conduct assessments, develop goals, and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, teachers, and families
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong Clinical Fellows (CF)
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and learning styles

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Conducting evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred for speech and language concerns
  • Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) with clear, measurable goals
  • Providing direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language disorders
  • Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate student progress and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines
  • Supporting the development of classroom communication strategies and recommending assistive technology, as needed
