We are seeking dedicated professionals to join a dynamic special education team for the upcoming academic year, serving students in an onsite capacity. With multiple full-time positions available, youll play a vital role in supporting students communication and educational success.
This contract role requires 35 hours per week, with tentative assignment dates aligning with the 2026-2027 school year and a comprehensive new hire orientation from August 12th through August 14th. While caseload and grade assignments will be finalized prior to onboarding, candidates will be working within a collaborative environment focused on student growth.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Illinois professional license (Speech-Language Pathology)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
- Experience working in school settings (SLP CCC preferred, but strong CF candidates are welcome)
- Demonstrated understanding of K-12 student needs in special education environments
- Positive, flexible mindset and excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide verification of licenses via state online systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to students, as assigned
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student progress
- Complete required documentation and assessments in compliance with state and district protocols
- Support students across a range of abilities in a nurturing, inclusive setting
