Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving a small K-2 caseload as a Speech Language Pathologist in a specialized education environment near Waukegan, IL. This position is ideal for an experienced SLP holding CCC credentials, but strong Clinical Fellows eager to build their expertise in schools are encouraged to apply. The role is part-time, requiring a commitment of just 7 hours per week for the 2026-2027 academic year, with tentative dates and new hire orientation occurring from August 12th to 14th.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required; must verify and submit documentation.
- Comfortable working onsite exclusively.
- ASHA CCCs preferred, but strong Clinical Fellowship candidates accepted.
- Prior school-based SLP experience is advantageous.
- Dedicated to working collaboratively within a special education setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy and interventions to a caseload of nine K-2 students.
- Develop and implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and provide evaluative reports.
- Work closely with special education staff to support classroom integration.
- Communicate effectively with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Maintain all documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
