Make a meaningful impact supporting students communication and language development as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This contract role focuses on providing ESY (Extended School Year) services for PreK through 8th grade students, creating opportunities for growth and learning beyond the traditional school year. This assignment begins June 10th and continues through June 2nd, 2026, with a manageable commitment of 12 hours per weekperfect for professionals seeking a focused role with a flexible schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous school-based SLP experience highly valued
- Expertise in ESY service provision
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet the needs of PreK-8 student population
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging speech-language therapy sessions for PreK-8th grade students enrolled in ESY
- Assess and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Develop individualized treatment plans and adapt strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
