Job Description

An opportunity is available for a bilingual Speech Language Pathologist to provide specialized support to K-12 students in an onsite school setting located in Waukegan, IL. This full-time, contract position offers 37.5 hours per week dedicated to delivering speech and language therapy services that promote student success across diverse linguistic backgrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, planning, and implementing individualized speech and language therapy for a caseload of students grades K-12
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to integrate communication goals within the school environment
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Participating in professional development and team meetings to enhance service delivery
  • Supporting both English and Spanish-speaking students to address a range of speech and language needs

Qualifications and experience sought:

  • Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License (IL SLP License) and Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for effective bilingual therapy delivery
  • Experience working within school settings with K-12 populations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence to engage diverse student populations
