Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students communication growth in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time opportunity spans the school year, from early September to late June, centered in an elementary school environment and also engaging with middle and high school students. Youll be working with a diverse caseload of approximately 70-75 students, including those on IEPs and children focusing on speech improvement.

Candidates must bring a passion for helping young learners reach their communication potential and must meet New Yorks licensure requirements, including the TSSLD credential. Flexible interview times are available so you can find a convenient slot to discuss the role.

Qualifications:

  • Active New York State SLP license, including TSSLD endorsement
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, K-12
  • Comfort managing caseloads of 15-55 students across elementary and secondary grades
  • Familiarity with IEP process, documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels
  • Develop, implement, and track IEP goals for approximately 20-30 students
  • Deliver targeted speech improvement services for 45-55 additional students
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support generalization of skills across environments
  • Maintain accurate records and facilitate progress reporting
  • Participate in IEP and team meetings
