A fantastic contract opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 26/27 school year. Working full-time, you'll support a diverse high school caseload of 50-60 students, with some responsibilities extending to out-of-district (OOD) and parochial settings. This is an excellent chance to make a significant impact on student communication skills and educational outcomes in a dynamic educational environment near Waterbury, CT.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Connecticut SLP license required
- Open to SLPs with CCC or those seeking their CFY
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfort working with high school-aged students
- Ability to manage a caseload and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapy for students with speech, language, or communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal guidelines
- Deliver services in both school and out-of-district/parochial settings as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-wide initiatives
