Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students communication development across multiple school sites in the Waterbury, CT area. This full-time, onsite position serves students from PreK through 4th and 8th grade as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Youll make a meaningful impact by developing individualized treatment plans and collaborating closely with educators and families to facilitate student success.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Connecticut SLP licensure (required)
  • SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and extensive pediatric/healthcare SLP background welcomed
  • Teletherapy experience is a plus, although this role is onsite
  • Strong understanding of speech-language development in school settings
  • Proven ability to work with diverse caseloads across elementary and middle grades
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students across itinerant assignments
  • Complete assessments, write evaluation reports, and develop/monitor IEP goals
  • Maintain detailed records and progress notes in accordance with school and district guidelines
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and caregivers to provide strategies for supporting student communication needs
  • Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary educational team
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and adapt interventions to best support student growth
