Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students across various schools in Alaska. This contract position offers the chance to work with diverse caseloads ranging from elementary through high school, addressing mild to moderate speech and language challenges.

Location: Anchorage, AK, with service areas including Point Mackenzie, Butte, and Palmer.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Manage caseloads averaging 45-60 students, depending on school level.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Participate in consultative services, particularly within high school settings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state education requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) teaching certification.
  • Experience working in school-based settings with pediatric populations.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
