Job Description
Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in an educational setting, focusing on early intervention and elementary-aged students. This part-time contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting children's communication development and enhancing their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to early intervention and elementary school students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Utilize teletherapy techniques as needed to complement in-person sessions
- Maintain compliance with DC SLP licensure requirements and school policies
Qualifications:
- Valid DC Speech-Language Pathologist licensure is required
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, specifically in early intervention and school settings
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not mandatory
- Comfort with teletherapy modalities is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively
Location: Washington, DC (in-person)
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate student needs
