This contract opportunity near Wasco, CA presents a rewarding opportunity for a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who is passionate about making a difference in educational settings. Work closely with students, educators, and families to provide vital speech therapy services and support student development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current certificate of clinical competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication evaluations for students
- Develop and implement customized therapy goals and treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with varying speech and language needs
- Maintain ongoing documentation, progress reports, and communicate outcomes to teachers and families
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to student success plans
- Offer mentorship to SLP interns or CFY candidates as needed
- Stay current with best practices and advance professional development in the field
