Job Description
Make a real impact working directly with elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. This in-person role focuses on serving grades K5, using your expertise to support students communication development and academic success throughout the remainder of the school year. With full-time hours available (37.5 per week) and part-time options considered, this flexible opportunity suits a range of applicants.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong foundation in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other school personnel
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to students changing needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students in grades K through 5, addressing concerns such as language, articulation, fluency, and voice disorders
- Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and special education staff to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain organized records and document student progress in accordance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to support students academic and communication goals
- Educate and support families and staff about speech and language development
