Make a significant impact supporting students and schools as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist! This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work across elementary, middle, and high school settings, helping children and adolescents achieve their communication goals and thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and active Michigan SLP license required
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school populations is highly valued
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with IEPs, case management, and collaborating with school teams
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, educators, and fellow professionals
- Competence in conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering a range of speech and language interventions
- Adaptability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and small group settings
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress, and services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff consultations as a valued member of the educational community
- Offer recommendations and resources to educators and families to support students success
- Flexibly manage caseloads spanning elementary through high school, adjusting approaches to meet developmental needs
