Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP certification/licensure in Michigan
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress/completed
- Background in pediatric SLP, especially within school or healthcare settings
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through eighth grade
- Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collect data on student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions
- Provide consultation and resources to parents and caregivers to encourage skill generalization beyond the classroom
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
