This contract-based opportunity is tailored for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists seeking renewed placements in a dynamic school environment near Warren, MI. Youll leverage your expertise to help students reach their full potential, working closely with educators, families, and support staff.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Completion of a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure as an SLP (or eligibility)
- Prior school-based SLP experience, preferably in renewal placements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Deep commitment to facilitating student success and advocating for diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and intervention for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state laws
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support academic and social-emotional growth
- Monitor student progress, adapt intervention strategies, and maintain detailed records
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams to assess and plan holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
