Job Description

Make a lasting impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting near Vinton, VA. This full-time contract role spans the remainder of the current school year and offers a dynamic, flexible environment where you can use your expertise to help students achieve their communication goals.

Candidates should have experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology services, from conducting assessments to delivering individualized therapy. This role may involve travel between school sites, and paid travel time is included.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Holds current (or eligible for) VA SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status considered
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Skill in assessment, report writing, and individualized therapy sessions
  • Comfortable overseeing IEP processes, evaluations, documentation, and meetings
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
  • Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Attend, participate in, and contribute to IEP and team meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring
