Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a school location in Hesperia, CA, serving students from PreK through 12th grade. This contract role begins in August for the 2025-2026 school year and offers an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of mild to moderate disabilities.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech-language services consistent with typical SLP duties across elementary, middle, and high school settings. The average caseload is approximately 55 students, with some sites supported by Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to manage higher client loads. SLPs typically work 6.5 hours daily; however, if a contracted SLP requires an 8-hour day, this can be accommodated when the additional hours are documented as SLP-related work for the school district. In-house training and ongoing professional support are provided for both staff and contracted SLPs.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
  • Experience working in school settings and with pediatric populations
  • Ability to manage caseloads that include mild to moderate disabilities
  • Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or relevant pediatric healthcare SLP experience considered an asset
  • CCC-SLP certification is favored
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within educational teams

Location: Hesperia, California
