Step into an impactful school-based role as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) along Floridas vibrant Southeast Coast. Multiple full-time, on-site SLP positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, with start dates in early August and opportunities to work with diverse age groups and specialized caseloads. These contract roles are designed for SLP CCC professionals who thrive in educational environments and are passionate about supporting students communication development.
Opportunities include placements at innovative K-8 schools as well as a dynamic high school setting, each offering unique caseloads such as VPK-8, specialized Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Varying Exceptionalities (VE), and Intensive Disabilities (InD) units. Some roles offer the chance to collaborate closely with SLPA and other SLPs for exceptional support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license for the state of Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably K-12 or with specialized populations
- Ability to manage full caseloads and adapt to the needs of multiple sites, if assigned
- Fingerprinting clearance prior prints with the Department of Health may be transferable
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with educational teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students as assigned
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to student progress monitoring
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
