Key qualifications:
- Current North Carolina SLP license
- North Carolina DPI Special Service Personnel - School SLP Credential
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Prior experience in school-based speech/language therapy preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and development
Responsibilities:
- Assess students speech and language abilities using standardized tools and informal assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
- Participate in school teams and IEP meetings as a collaborative partner
- Provide guidance and strategies to the educational team to create an inclusive classroom environment
