Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students and staff by serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) covering a leave this upcoming fall. This contract opportunity, located close to Van Nuys, CA, offers a rewarding environment within a collaborative school setting.

You will provide services from August 2026 through November/December 2026, working 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The position manages a caseload averaging about 45 students, with support from on-campus SLPAs to help ensure successful outcomes for each student.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Valid California licensure as an SLP with CCC or as an SLPA
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other clinicians, teachers, and administrators
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized plans to address students speech, language, and communication needs
  • Provide direct intervention and consultation as outlined in IEPs
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Support transition planning and advise on assistive communication technology when appropriate
