Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant school community. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with K-6 students, providing essential speech and language services that foster communication and learning success. The position is based near Van Nuys, CA, and centers on serving local students in need of speech therapy interventions.
As a valued professional, youll operate on a 37.5-hour workweek, handling a range of typical SLP responsibilities. Every day brings chances to collaborate with educators and families, create dynamic treatment plans, and guide students through their communication journeys.
What We're Looking For:
- Current California SLP License or CA CTC credential
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and those with CCC accepted
- Experience with pediatric and school-aged populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and conducting evaluations
- Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech therapy services to K-6 students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teams
- Maintain detailed progress notes and reports in accordance with school guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and students families
- Support a positive, inclusive educational environment for diverse learners
