Job Description
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school in Van Nuys, CA. This contract opportunity offers 35 hours per week, focusing on supporting students speech and language development in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational and clinical guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure
- California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school environments
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and best practices for speech-language therapy
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Credential of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is advantageous
