Make a real impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a supportive school setting near Valley, AL. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across 2-3 schools, providing therapy for a manageable caseload of K-12 students (approximately 67). The assignment aims to start as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year, offering 37.5 hours per week. Therapy services can be delivered on-site or via teletherapy, depending on your expertise.
Desired Background and Skills:
- ASHA CCC required for SLPs; open to SLPAs as well
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings is preferred
- Familiarity with caseload management (capped at 67 students)
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educational staff and families
- Ability to deliver both in-person and virtual therapy
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy for K-12 students
- Complete and manage IEP paperwork utilizing the districts designated system (training provided)
- Travel between assigned schools as needed (all locations local)
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary discussions
- Ensure adherence to district policies regarding supervision and professional requirements
