A K-12 school district in Valley, AL is seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to provide therapy services for the current school year on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse caseload of students across multiple schools in a dynamic educational setting.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid SLP certification with CCC preferred
• Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy
• Expertise in teletherapy service delivery
• Familiarity with school-based therapy practices
• SLPA certification for assistant positions
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload of approximately 67 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade

Location:

• Valley, Alabama, servicing 2-3 schools within the district

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Utilize the districts IEP system to document progress and maintain compliance
• Provide both direct and indirect therapy hours, including paid team meetings and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with educational staff, families, and district leads to develop and implement effective therapy plans
• Participate in teletherapy sessions as needed
• Provide or receive supervision according to licensure requirements
• Travel between assigned schools as part of an itinerant workload model
