A contract opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Valley, AL. This position involves working with a caseload of approximately 67 students across 2-3 schools within the district. The role emphasizes providing direct and indirect speech therapy services, utilizing teletherapy as well as in-person sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Manage a caseload of approximately 67 students
- Utilize teletherapy platforms to deliver services as needed
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate IEP records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student goal planning
- Adhere to district policies and procedures regarding supervision and therapy space availability
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLP candidates
- Experience in pediatrics and school-based speech therapy
- Familiarity with teletherapy services
- SLPA candidates should have relevant school-based experience and appropriate credentials
- Ability to work itinerantly across multiple school sites
Location: Valley, Alabama work will be spread across 2-3 schools within the local school district
Schedule and Contract Details:
- Contract position with an immediate start through end of school year
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week
