Step into an impactful role serving students in Washington and Greene Counties! This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eager to provide direct onsite support throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Two positions are open: one based at Washington Park Elementary, and one itinerant SLP covering Bethlehem-Center Elementary, Fort Cherry Elementary, and schools in Waynesburg. You will participate in paid training sessions to prepare for the school year and work closely with a supportive team focused on student success.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP - CCC credentials
- Active PA SLP Educator Certificate required
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to reliably commute across multiple locations within Washington and Greene Counties
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech/language therapy to a diverse caseload of up to 50 students
- Serve as a collaborative partner with teachers, staff, and families to meet student IEP goals
- Conduct speech/language assessments and contribute to evaluation/eligibility teams
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with IDEA and state regulations
- Travel to assigned schools according to the rotational schedule
- Attend training and professional development as scheduled (training dates: August 13th, 14th, and 17th)
