Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant school setting near the San Juan Capistrano area. This contract position is designed to cover two leaves of absence, with start dates anticipated for mid-October and mid-November. Full-time availabilityworking five days a weekis essential, and while the number of schools assigned will be determined, youll have the chance to make a meaningful contribution across different campuses. Your skills and dedication will help ensure continuity of care for students ranging in age, providing crucial support during these LOA periods.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Active California SLP license required
  • School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working with a diverse student population across various age groups
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Previous experience supporting IEP meetings, assessments, and direct therapy is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide direct therapy to assigned students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Adapt therapy materials to meet diverse learning needs and support student engagement
  • Participate in meetings relevant to student cases
