As a contract professional, you will provide essential support and intervention, enabling children to communicate more effectively and actively participate in their education.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) in Alabama
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention techniques for a variety of speech and language disorders
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Energetic, compassionate, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact on young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Utilize engaging therapy methods to foster communication skills in both individual and group settings
- Consult with educators, administrators, and parents to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Monitor progress, document interventions, and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and support compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide resources and support to help staff and families reinforce strategies at home and in class
