This contract opportunity in the Tucson, AZ area is ideal for a bilingual Spanish-speaking SLP who is passionate about supporting students with a variety of needsincluding those with mild to significant cognitive impairments.
As an essential support for schools, youll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to empower students through communication and language development. This full-time position offers a consistent weekday schedule, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.
Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist license
- CCC-SLP certification from ASHA
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with pediatric populations in a school setting
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, evaluations, and direct therapy to elementary and middle school students
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans for students with cognitive challenges
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as part of the special education team
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team discussions
