A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Trussville, AL, on a contract basis. This role involves providing speech therapy services to students within the school setting, supporting their communication and language development.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in a school environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams
- Knowledge of current speech and language assessment tools and intervention strategies
