Job Description

Make an impact supporting K-12 students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist working 30 hours per week in the Ithaca, NY area. Youll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs thrive. The caseload includes learners with mild to severe disabilities, including Autism, cognitive delays, emotional disturbances, and Down Syndrome, allowing you to apply your expertise in diverse and fulfilling ways.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid New York SLP License
  • Active TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) Certification
  • Open to SLPs with CCC, CFY, or school-based experience
  • Teletherapy experience a plus
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Passion for supporting students from kindergarten through high school

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with diverse needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in keeping with compliance and district standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams to support student success
  • Provide guidance to support staff, educators, and families regarding student communication needs
  • Utilize teletherapy and in-person sessions as appropriate
