Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist working with students near Troy and Albany, NY. Starting in May, youll provide vital support to a non-verbal caseload, helping young learners communicate at their own pace in an encouraging and collaborative educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility for licensure in New York
- SLP-CCC or strong candidates completing CFY will be considered
- Prior school-based experience or genuine interest in working in educational settings
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and caregivers
- Experience or comfort working with non-verbal populations a plus
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for non-verbal students
- Deliver direct therapy and support communication needs within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators to support student academic and social success
- Provide resources and strategies to teachers and family members to encourage communication development
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed
