Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist near Troy, MI. This full-time, in-person opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact throughout the rest of the school year, working with students in grades K-5. Enjoy a stable schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with consideration for part-time availability if needed. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team and deliver essential speech and language services, helping young learners thrive academically and socially.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license or eligibility for Michigan state certification
- Experience working within a school setting, especially elementary grade levels (K-5)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Energy, empathy, and adaptability to meet a variety of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and set student-specific therapy goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students both one-on-one and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support students progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
