This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) invites Speech-Language Pathologists at all stagesfrom Clinical Fellows to seasoned SLPs holding their Certificate of Clinical Competenceto make a genuine impact on the lives of children and adolescents.
As an itinerant SLP, you will enjoy paid travel time between assignments, emphasizing your valued expertise while you collaborate with dedicated teams across school sites. The exact school assignments and caseload will be determined, ensuring your strengths and preferences are prioritized.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, or direct therapy settings is highly valued
- Ability to oversee and interpret assessments and evaluations
- Confidence writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Comfort attending multidisciplinary team meetings
- SLP-CCC or CFY candidates welcomed
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student assessments and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and school team discussions
