Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license is required
  • Experience working in K-12 settings and comfort with elementary, middle, and high school populations
  • Ability to adapt to various caseloads and student needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be prepared to begin the Virginia Department of Social Services credentialing process immediately
  • Negative TB test per state requirements

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech therapy to students across multiple school levels
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for students with varying speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student growth
  • Complete thorough documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and monitor progress
  • Maintain compliance with all district and state policies
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students

Additional Details: This is an onsite position (no remote or hybrid options available) for the full academic year, with a 37.5-hour workweek over a 185-day contract. Assignments are available at a variety of school levels, and exact locations will be determined during the placement process.
