Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in the greater Washington DC region with this school-based contract position for Speech-Language Pathologists. This full-time role offers the chance to make an impact in students lives across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Beginning August 3rd, 2026 and extending through May 27th, 2027, youll have the opportunity to work on-site and collaborate with educational teams and families while fostering communication development and success for diverse age groups.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Valid and active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Virginia
  • Experience in a school setting (elementary, middle, or high school) preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
  • Commitment to completing VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as specified in IEPs
  • Carry out assessments, create treatment plans, and monitor student progress
  • Consult with educators and families to support student communication needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Adapt services to a range of age groups as caseloads are assigned
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as required
