Make an impact supporting students in a vibrant school setting as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, onsite opportunity covers 40 hours per week, working with both primary and elementary campuses. The role is ideal for professionals passionate about evaluation and collaboration, eager to contribute expertise within a welcoming educational environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas SLP license (CCC required)
- Prior experience practicing as a school-based SLP preferred
- Ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations
- Experience facilitating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings in compliance with Texas and federal regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor assigned SLPAs, ensuring high-quality services for students
- Complete detailed speech-language evaluations for students in need of assessment
- Organize and lead ARD meetings, collaborating effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all timelines and documentation requirements
- Note: Direct therapy services are not required for this position
