Step into a vital school-based role for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting local students near Tomball, TX. This contract opportunity spans the academic year, offering 40 hours per week and the chance to make a profound impact on childrens communication skills. Youll primarily work at one school (occasionally two), managing a caseload of approximately 60 students. Multiple campus locations are available, matching your interests and experience.
Seeking candidates able to supervise, particularly those holding CCC credentials. Both experienced SLPs and recent graduates (CFs) are encouraged to apply, as well as those with a passion for collaborative care in educational settings.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Texas
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; will also consider Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings a plus
- Strong collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Comfortable supervising and mentoring, if CCC
- Adaptable to varying school settings and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and district requirements
- Provide guidance to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
