This opportunity is for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide critical support to middle school students in a thriving educational environment located in Tiverton, RI. The position is a full-time contract role, requiring 37.5 hours per week across five days, positioned to make a meaningful impact in the academic and social growth of children.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders among middle school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Rhode Island.
- Relevant experience in school-based speech-language pathology, preferably with middle school-aged children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an educational team environment.
- Credentials such as Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience are advantageous.
