Job Description

Step into an impactful school-based role for the 26/27 academic year supporting children in the K-9th grade range. This contract position seeks a bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language pathologist eager to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team. The schedule follows traditional school hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, allowing for work-life balance.

In this setting, you will manage a mild to moderate caseload, directly supporting 14 students with IEPs and consulting with another 9 students. The majority of your students will be in 6th grade or below, giving you the opportunity to foster development and communication skills during formative years. Proficiency using Embrace IEP software is a plus, and youll share office resources and collegial support with the case manager.

Ideal candidates bring the following:

  • Valid IL SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome, as well as CCC-SLPs
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
  • Familiarity with mild to moderate caseloads and delivering consultative services
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in shared spaces

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting speech-language therapy sessions
  • Participating in IEP planning and meetings
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions using Embrace IEP software
  • Consulting with teachers and families to support student progress
  • Maintaining thorough documentation in line with regulatory standards
