Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic, supportive school environment near Tijeras, NM. Enthusiastic and qualified SLPs are needed on a contractual basis for the upcoming 26/27 school year, with ongoing updates to caseloads as the district finalizes their needs. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families to support communication development and unlock every childs potential.

Available roles include:

  • Full-time coverage for overflow caseloads at an elementary site.
  • Full-time SLP at a single-site elementary (final location to be determined).
  • Specialist in Child Find and Pre-K, delivering early childhood services at a dedicated center.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience within a school setting, preferably serving elementary and/or Pre-K populations.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Active New Mexico PED license required please submit a copy with your application.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs within a school population.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to student needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, provide input to teams, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Deliver services in individual and group settings, with a focus on positive student outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and related service providers to create supportive environments.
