Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting students near Thomasville, NC, where youll help shape communication and learning skills across the East and Southern portions of the district. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), youll collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their fullest potential during the upcoming school year, starting August 12, 2026 and running through June 11, 2027. This full-time contract position offers you flexibility while working 35-37.5 hours each week, with caseloads tailored to your strengths and preferences.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Hold current NC licensure as an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist)
  • CCC preferred; strong SLP-CF candidates welcome (supervision provided)
  • Comfortable managing caseloads up to 35 students
  • Preferred backgrounds: experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities
  • School-based SLP experience is highly valued
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Must be available for the full duration of the school year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, as well as family members, to maximize student progress
  • Support a diverse group of learners, with the district open to discussing your caseload preferences during the interview process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork in compliance with district and state guidelines
