Job Description

Make a difference supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Thomasville, NC. Skilled Speech-Language Pathologists are currently needed for full-time contract positions beginning August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Roles will be primarily located in the eastern and southern areas of the district, serving up to 35 students in a school-based setting.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Hold current North Carolina SLP license (required for all applicants)
  • SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellows (CF) encouraged to apply; district supervision for CFs available
  • Broad understanding of IEP implementation and therapy documentation in school settings
  • Preference for experience with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities
  • Familiarity with best practices for a diverse K-12 student population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • SLPA credentials are not being accepted for these roles

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech-language evaluations and assessments per caseload
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and provide therapy aligned with IEP requirements
  • Maintain accurate student records and progress notes
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals
  • Adapt therapy activities to meet a wide range of needs including Autism and cognitive challenges
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the multi-disciplinary team process
