Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a part-time, contract basis. You'll work with PreK through 3rd-grade students, including a head start class, helping to foster growth in communication skills and boost academic success. The assignment is for one school site, allowing you to focus on making a meaningful impact within a close-knit educational community.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for Louisiana and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility)
- Knowledge of school-based caseloads, IEP processes, and therapy best practices
- Ability to engage young children and collaborate effectively with teachers and families
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services for PreK3rd grade students per their IEPs
- Conduct assessments, generate reports, and help develop IEP goals
- Collaborate with staff and participate in paid team meetings and professional activities as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and progress monitoring
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
