This full-time onsite contract role involves supporting a diverse caseload of students, primarily with mild to moderate speech and language needs and some students requiring AAC devices. Your expertise will make a lasting impact in an educational environment near Thermal, CA.
What we're looking for:
- Valid IL SLP License (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in school settings, especially with both mild-moderate and some severe needs students
- Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational documentation standards
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students across a varied caseload
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, families, and support teams regarding student progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in accordance with state and district policies
- Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as needed
