Job Description
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in telespeech services is sought to support students across a diverse range of grade levels, including elementary (K-5), middle (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12). This position involves delivering speech and language therapy remotely, using telepractice platforms to assess and treat students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals.
- Provide telespeech therapy sessions to students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant regulations and policies.
- Participate in virtual meetings and professional development as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification and license.
- Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Proficient in telespeech/telepractice service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students remotely.
- Ability to manage caseload and maintain organized records.
- Familiarity with educational environments and developmental communication disorders.
Location: Sterling Heights, MI (services provided remotely with a focus on schools in this area).
